On discovering her husband's affair, Lucy relinquishes her duties as a wife and follows her dreams of being a dancer.

Lucy is an ex-dancer and since being married, has been teaching dance, to avoid being away from home. Longing to rediscover the world of professional dance she lives vicariously through one of her students, soon to leave London, to attend a dance company in New York. On finding that her husband is having an affair she releases her frustrated fury in a dance, which leads to her decision to step forward, leave her husband and head to New York.
