Chris is youth in poverty around Glasgow

Chris is stuck in a world where his mum doesn't care about him, his father is dead and all he wants is to survive. But nothing works in his home, there is no food and no money to buy any. After trying and failing to get money from friends he breaks into a house to steal some valuables only to find a girl tied up in a wardrobe, and beaten badly. He then tries to save her, only to be confronted by the father who then beats the life out of him. Upon arriving home the mother finds some compassion for Chris and comforts him.
