The horrors of rural Shropshire life for the aspiring student

University student Sam is returning home for the first time in nearly a year to his sedate village out in the rural heart of Shropshire. Despite the warm welcom of his dwindling friendship circle, he is depressed to see how little has changed and how his best friend Glyn has stagnated in life since the departure of all his peers. In a last ditch effort to recapture their glory days, they and old college friends Ellsie and Alice go to a cottage in the middle of the woods. However the come under siege from a swarm of living scarecrows that parasitically infect the friends, transforming them to monsters like themselves. Now they fight for their lives against the unwavering hoard.
