Subject 35

A prisoner is taunted by his omnipotent captor, whilst experiencing severe flashbacks from the moment he died.

The film starts with Subject 35 having flashbacks of an unknown woman, sobbing above him. He then dies. He awakes in a stark cold chamber, under video surveillance, not knowing who-or what-he is. Subject 35 learns from his captor that he has been resurrected as part man, part machine, to do the bidding of his captor. He also learns that the woman at the beginning of the film was his siter, who has since been killed. Rather than letting "the hardware take effect" Subject 35 chooses to end his own (second) life as he would rather die again, than lose the memories of his former life, and the sister that he loved.
