Suzie Gold is a twenty-something Jewish girl from north London. Her sister Sophie is about to get married, & the pressure is on for Suzie to follow suit. Her family have traditional views about marrying out of the faith, & they soon set her up with Anthony Silver - the 'perfect' Jewish candidate in their eyes. However, after a disastrous date, Suzie realises there is no connection between them.
