Team Warbeck coordinates decoys for the royal family, the story orbits around the new decoy for princess Tabitha who watches the madness unfold
During a scheduled public royal appearance something goes wrong, a decoy for Proncess Tabitha has died by accident opening Teddington sewage works and a new emergency lookalike is required before public hysteria sets in. They call the newcomer in and explain her new job to her, how she will be required to drop everything and be deployed whenever necessary to impersonate a member of the royal family, due to her looking just like the real thing. A crisis meeting is held in a secret location in central London to decide whether the new decoy is up to scratch. This decoy team is also a victim of austerity and belt-tightening, lead to slip ups and bad management. Time is tight before the public realise what is wrong and suspicions arise. They must act fast to reveal the new decoy at the boat race before anything else goes wrong. They hastily organise the appropriate the new princess- everything goes wrong because no one is properly briefed. The team have to break the news that there is no royal family at all, it's just the decoy system "they all died in the Windsor Castle fire. It's all smoke and mirrors!" They finally get the new decoy to the Boat Race but the original body washes up just at the moment when she is unveiled.
