Modelling is not just about objective beauty, but a relationship between the model and the artist.
Life drawing artist coach Rebecca dismisses her current life model, Mary, because she is dissatisfied with Mary's fear of exposing herself completely for the artists. She employs a new model, Nina, who is very at ease with her own body and at first thrives as a life model. However, eventually Nina also struggles to accept the total exploitation Rebecca demands. Rebecca must learn that life modelling is not just about objective beauty and exploitation of the body, but that it is about establishing a trusting relationship between the model and the artist.
