Moral Thriller exploring deepfake technology in the media
Struggling journalist Amanda discovers a scandalous video of politician Jeremy Todd that could revolutionise her career if released. When she presents it to editor Ellis, he points out that the video is fake and could have been made using 'deepfake' technology. Defeated, Amanda returns to her colleague Arri to find solace but learns from her the true extent to the politician's crimes. Amanda is torn between her morals as a journalist and exposing Todd's heinous activities but is spurred to release the video by the thoughts of success that would come from such a big story. Once the video is released Amanda faces the consequences of going against her editor, losing her job, having her reputation tainted, and facing a lawsuit from Jeremy Todd's lawyers.
