In a fascist near future Britain has become an oppressive police state, the drugged population is entertained by the Comics who keep a smile on their faces while everything gets worse. Being a Comic means escaping the worst of everything and for one aspiring comedian, murder is the only way for him to get his act on stage and become successful ... success, however comes at a price and those who permitted him to rise to stardom will soon take him down again ... who has the last laugh now?
