Chalmers Johnson, an evangelical preacher suffers a crisis of faith following meeting an atheist who introduces him to a supernatural presence in his attic. Chalmers is forced to accept the power of this spirit and in promising to worship it is lured into dark temptations which lead him towards his downfall.
