The Duke

The Duke tells the story of a young boy in 1950s Liverpool who believes his grandad is John Wayne.

7-year-old Jack discovers that his grandfather (Tony Booth) looks like John Wayne and tells him. His grandfather reveals that he is indeed John Wayne, but he is not to tell anyone. Shortly thereafter, Jack lets it slip in the schoolyard and none of his schoolmates believe him. This leads to a showdown, where Anthony Booth's character proves to all present that he is indeed The Duke.
