Mark is a filmmaker. He's been making films for over 25 years. None of them are earth-shatteringly great. Some of them almost work , but not quite. In fact, most of them are dreadful. Jess is the girl of his dreams, but she thinks he's an idiot. She might be right. Will his dedication to a non-existent film career stand the test of endless festival rejection letters? Will his love for an untouchable girlfriend survive her elopement to New York with his best friend Mike? Will he ever make a good film?
