Based on Ernest Hemingway's posthumous novel and set in the jazz age, a successful young American writer David Bourne and his wife Catherine on their extended honeymoon in Europe. Catherine's listlessness inspires her to fold the desirable Marita into their relationship, raising the romantic and sexual stakes.
