The Hand of the Dead Man

2019, 10 minutes

Short horror film

The Hand of a Dead Man' is the story of Andrew, a young man recently escaped from a cult, and Father Louis, the priest who offers him sanctuary. Andrew faces the consequences of his adherence to the beliefs and practices of an esoteric group. 'The Hand Of A Dead Man' looks closely at the darkness of human nature and the lengths people will go to protect what they believe in. Often the badness or the darkness in people isn't always visible on the surface and what is even more alarming is when it is concealed behind a seemingly benign and respectable persona. That is the frightening idea the film explores: how we can be deceived by a friendly smile and spoken good intentions only to be made aware of the true intent when it is too late.
