A modern take on the Salome story
The film is set in a future where the UK has become a republic governed by a megalomaniac president. The president's wife suspects he is having an affair with his step-daughter, and events turn very bloody indeed. Director Janis Pugh uses the original soundtrack of Salome to heighten the tension
