When Johnny Killigrew (Dan Poole) returns from a hectic tour of duty, he falls into an old pattern of play. Initially, omitting his wife and family from his life on his return, he takes comfort in a hotel with the, 'ask no questions' high-class (and expensive) escort Erika. But things are far from smooth as echoes from his home life spill into his present consciousness. Why is he doing this and what possible good will come from it? The Loneliest Time, depicts one mans journey with PTSD, and the sexual mechanisms put in place to stem his rage and seemingly protect his family. However, in reality the side-effects and fall-out of his actions are quite different, risking the destruction of his incredibly supportive wife (Libby), and his daughter (Amy).
