The Meeting

A man relives a small memory of meeting his wife again and again as a coping mechanism for his grief over her death.

A small scene of a man meeting a stranger and getting along great plays out wholesomely. However, one it ends it begins to repeat again. The woman reenacts the scene identically to last time, however the man makes small variations and become visible more depressed as this continues. Finally, the scene cuts off, as it is revealed that the man was simply reliving a memory through some futuristic VR technology. The reality of the situation is much bleaker than he wishes.
