A film short, set in 29CE. John the Baptist is executed. Herod Antipas and his wife Herodias wrestle with the consequences of their actions

In the dungeon of the hilltop fortress of machaerus John the Baptist is executed. Herod Antipas struggles with the consequences of his actions but his wife, Herodias, can only gloat over her enemy's death. While Herod recognises John's strange power and is drawn to his light, Herodias knows the only way to ensure her own survival and secure their position is to extinguish it.
