A film about an ageing actress who tries to maintain her status despite ill health
Beatrice Burn, an acclaimed actress, is cast in a play. We witness her attempts to maintain her dignity and status despite obvious signs of ill health and fatigue. Eventually she is dismissed from the cast. We see her internal world as she clings to the illusion of her fame.
