A Western in The Lake District

The man and woman, a couple choose to live in a homestead on the outskirts of town. They are visited by Halton, a travelling trader, who gives them news of the outside world. Hill folk are coming down to raid homesteads. People are moving north to escape drought conditions. Someone is watching. Someone steals the grain and the man goes in search of the thief. It's a matter of life and death.
