An Indian British girl is torn between two homes.

The Sounds of the Past is a short film about a British Indian girl that has recently come back to England from a trip to her family's rural village in India. She comes back to her white boyfriend, her upcoming graduation and job in a bookshop. But she is torn between her Westernized and the idea of leaving everything she's known behind and her potential teaching career to live back at home in the simple but blissful village in India.
