The Walk

The Walk is a short film about prejudice, mistrust of the outsider and the dark comedy that comes from misunderstanding.

Following Ibrahim, a British Muslim man, as he tries to buy an axe to cut down a damaged tree in his garden, misreadings and suspicion lead to a complete collapse into, on the face of it, a full-blown terrorist incident. The Walk is a dark comedy, in the vein of films like Four Lions, but a micro short opening up a single terrible misunderstanding. It poses questions about 'Britishness', fear of the outsider and how a normal day can turn into anything but.
