Taylor is an obsessive, psychopath who has developed a deep obsession with a woman called Sarah he has taken hostage in his own home. In the film she is incredibly scared of Taylor and aware that he could kill her if she attempts so escape. The main decision she must make is that when somebody comes to the door of Taylor's apartment, does she try to save herself or does she give in to the role he wants her to play.
