Three men in the woods encounter a imminent demise

Set in a post apocalyptic world, a man (chaser) is left to fend for himself after living a priveleged life. Two thieves steal his backpack and run off, as the chaser pursues them. They eventually lose the chaser however one of them has unfortunately stepped on a mine and is now facing impending doom. They both have a back and fourth regarding what to do, meanwhile the chaser is making progress toward them.
