Tobias is a barefoot mountain boy from Mexico who dreams on becoming a professional basketball player. He is one of the kids from the Triqui ethnic group that plays in a team suddenly worldwide known for their scores and their request to play barefoot. Fame, and distance from home is something Tobias will have to unexpectedly deal with. Everyone should make a journey to the unknown to learn, and this movie is about Tobias' journey, carrying with him the only luggage we all truly have: our belly buttons buried deep in the land where we were born. Basketball is his dream, but at the same time is the excuse to discover new horizons, that seemed unreachable. To see the world with Tobias' eyes, means to walk barefoot in the jungle, and eat a tortilla heated in the fire her mom is getting ready. This film is about the pad the reach the dream, not about reaching it. We, as filmmakers, aim to share the beauty hidden on details.
