A young boys struggle between his future plans - to follow his friends footsteps or create his own path, leading to an unlikely friendship with an OAP.

'Torn' is a graduate short film written by Joe Rogers. The film follows the life of sixteen year old Arthur, a young boy raised by his jobless father in East London who escapes his life at home becoming a foot soldier for local gangs. As Arthur grows closer to his final school exams, he is made to choose between gaining an education or pursuing his new career. His troubles lead him to an unlikely friendship with sixty-five year old Bernadette, a newly widow suffering from insomnia. A heartwarming drama with an unusual twist and a superb ending.
