Torn Apart

orn Apart is a short film about two estranged sisters and their attempts to reconcile in the last few moments of existence.

The universe and all of the atoms within are fracturing and ripping apart, and the world and existence itself is inevitably doomed to end. Emma (an amateur photographer) and Poppy (a successful model) are estranged sisters. As the world is plunged into chaos with people rioting and looting, all of Poppy's friends are murdered leaving her with only one option. To reconnect with her sister and spend their last moments together in their childhood home in the countryside. Emma accepts her into her home, however she feels jealous and betrayed by Poppy leaving her to follow her dreams. As Poppy gets there everything seems fine, however as the time progresses, more and more emotional scars are opened and cracks start to show in their relationship. Both sisters want to make amend to their relationship in their last living moments, but this proves to be impossible to achieve in the time they have left. The universe ends and nothing changes. Torn Apart is about the fragility of family life and how people take family for granted as well as showing that some wounds are too big to be fixed.
