Set in 1940s Shanghai, China. Mrs. Helen Charles from England goes to the nightclub where her husband was killed and meets Lily the call girl. Together they find her husband's murderer, and uncovers a web of exploit and deceits. Shot in vibrant colour, with film noir influences. Most scenes were filmed in Singapore.
