"Urban Inuk" is a POV documentary that explores the journeys of two different urban Inuit.
The urban Inuit Josh and Mikka have completely different backgrounds but are united in their goal of preserving Inuit traditions and creating a safe space for youth to build their identity. The documentary focuses on how Josh and Mikka are balancing their Inuit heritage, which is so closely tied to their land back home in Nunavut, with their urban identity.
