Aspiring actor Jack Hill (played by Harry Lynes) leads his long suffering agent Hamish McGill - pronounced McJILL (James Thomson) to an audition of King Lear - he gets the part and is an overnight success with a new contract at 25% - till he falls and "breaks his crown" and dignity!
