I cant say much, but yeah they seem to be major players. Also it seems to be a family thing. Alot of casting directors in one company with the same surname!!

Dan Hubbard, who I believe is part of Hubbard Casting is a top casting director and I have written to him in the past with regards to castings. Check details about them in The Actors Handbook and Contacts they have been in the business a while.

John and Roz have been running the company for a number of years. Dan is their son and also a casting director. It's a family run business and, as a result, has a very different way of working than some of the other companies out there. If you send your information through there is a much better chance of it being seen. Drop me a mail if you want further info.

The significance of Hubbard Casting for us Scottish based actors is that, even though based in London, they are responsible for casting Rebus & Taggart.

If you get a chance on being seen by them, for anything, take it. I went in front of them a few weeks ago for a Devon County Council recycling advert...didn't really want the advert as it was comedy and that isn't really my bag...did want to get my face infront of Hubard Casting so when they are casting the next Murderer for Taggart they will bear me in mind.

Look them up on IMDb...everything from Sharpe to The Bourne Supremacy passes through Hubbard Casting.

I cannot emphasise more strongly the power they have in the industry.

Although my agent is very much on the ball and has submitted me for a few of the Rebus roles on offer, the Hubbards have specifically stated they don't want to see people who were in the last years run of Rebus. I was so this year it looks like I've lucked out on Rebus.

Still there's a few things going on at the moment...I'm in London for the 6th time this year...so I'm hopeful of a fruitful 2006.
