Hi,

Is anyone with this agency? They want to charge £160 for two year admin fee, so they claim, UPFRONT! I'm all up for them taking it out of whatever job I get like other agencies but this is a huge red flag for me. I can't see any bad reviews and such. They are on Spotlight as well, but even if they are legit, i'm not sure if it's worth it, from my understanding, why work hard if you've already been paid?

P.S 2nd red flag is they phoned off a mobile work phone? I dunno if this is just a thing now.

Hi Lavina,
A reputable Agent would not charge you upfront fees, if you pay them an Admin Charge, no need to do any work for you, possible scam! Agents are not permitted to charge you any upfront fees against the law. When and if they get you work they all seem to charge 20% which is more then enough to cover any Admin Charges. Their Admin Charges would never reach that amount for 1 Client they are kept low due to fact submitting for several clients at once. Steer clear.

I see. I thought so as well. This is the agency I am signed up with. Personally I wouldn't recommend them. My previous agent sent me a list with agencies and these guys were among them. After going through their pages, I thought that I could trust them, despite the fact they want you to pay so much money upfront.
I signed up with them pretty much when the pandemic started, so they didn't even bother to ask me to go to their office to meet in person. I must say they were very nice on the phone, but that's about it.
I signed up as an actress, however all I ever got from them were a few job opportunities for which I either would have to travel to another country (during a pandemic) or were just not compatible with my profile at all. I only spoke with one of the agents twice. Second time was because I wanted to know why is that I do not get any casting opportunities for film, the answer to which was I need to upload more pictures of myself, not only of face, but full body pictures as well. Funny, as I was represented by them as an actress, not a model. Either way, when they send you a potential audition, the email always warns you to only click on the link for the job if you are able to audition on the dates specified, otherwise you will be suspended from their lists...
As for the positive reviews... well I am not so sure about those. As James said up there, reputable agents would not charge upfront. I wish I didn't go for that agency now. But I guess I will just leave when my contract expires. Wish you good luck with finding a good agent :)

Agencies certainly should NOT be charging any upfront fees (unless they are a co-op).

I was with Fusion Talent Management… they were convicted of stealing money (Paul Collum and Michael Bromley). I do not believe this is the same agency though (as far as I know they have been barred from running a company in the UK and are now living in Spain).

There is a(nother) company called Fusion Management. I think based near London Bridge? They have been mentioned many times in various FB groups - you’d be better searching there for info.

Hi Lavina,
I signed up with Fusion Management in 2018 and yes, had to do similar amount I think. So they are still going then? (may/may not be a good thing!!). I didn't get any work from them either, getting all my work from Maddog2020 Casting instead who are great. Fusion were recommended by Visual Studios who took all my photos. You do have to be so careful as they were in league with each other and I was a bit greener and wetter behind the ears then!! However, super happy with the photos and still using them. www.kevinneilcrook.co.uk
Good luck - Kevin...
