Hi Grace - I've auditioned for Faye for Emmerdale and here's my feedback!

* Treat it as any other audition
* Get there early and learn the script. You can pretend you're reading, but it helps if secretly you know the lines
* Practise saying them out loud before hand (I hid outisde round the corner)
* Be confident when talking about your previous experience. Be brief, but positive
* Faye is really nice
* I only read the scene once, was convinced all the other girls looked more 'right' for the part, and was extremely surprised to get the role! Which means: don't look disappointed if it's short etc, you never know til you know...
*Good luck!

...and remember that it now called 'Emmerdale' not 'Emmerdale Farm'! They got rid of farming in Yorkshire when they decided to crash a plane on the village and bring in Savverners!!!!

Hi

You're probably on your way there by now but just in case- my friend had met her a few times, and my friend is a northerner. They wanted her to be herself and keep her accent etc. Faye told her not to put on the actor voice etc. so in other words they've called you in for a reason so be you unless told otherwise-break a leg! x

Hi

Just to let you all Know, back from audition, thank you all for your support.

Faye String and Sonia are really nice people and make you feel at ease, the audition process is very laid back.

Will have to wait and see how it turns out, I will not know for another two weeks as they have to match people together to make a family and the main person has been cast so others revolving around that.

It would be nice, but I may be too young for the role, but knew that before I went, really greatful for opportunity, and paray and hope, and pray and hope and so on, that they just might find something for me, like we all do.

X

Grace :)
