Help! Need a modern American monologue
I need an audition monologue- modern American, soon. Please help!

If you are female then there's a brilliant speech you should look at in the musical 'my name is alice' I coach actors in preparation for auditions, including drama school auditions. I found this speech in "Solo - The Best Monologues of the 80's" It's by Richard LaGravanese and in the book I've got the speech is called 'Demigod'
It works with an English accent, but it is an American piece and has American dialect in it. I could email you a copy if you can't find it. It has a lovely range of emotion in it and is sadly funny. All the best
