Hi! I've been called for a TV Presenter audition and haven been asked to prepare a "1minute contemporary monologue of your choice, one that you think shows your personality".

Im very confused! What should I choose?!?!!?

Should I choose something that really shows my acting skills or something more conversational but fun?

    Please help!!!

    Thank you very much!

If it's presenting I'd say it's more about being yourself. Once you've decided what you want to say, make the script your own. Deliver it with enthusiasm and put your own stamp on it.

Tell a nice funney chatty story...something that really happened. Dramatise it a touch...make it a little bit of a performance ...embellish it a touch if you like. It will be your own and reflect your personality....and that seems to be just what they want! Not a proper acting performance.
