Hi kenny, thanks for your comments and the vote!! I voted 5 for you as well, thought it was really good, and hope my comments were useful. I agree with what you said about not being able to view others until its all done, but i experienced the opposite problem. one girl invited me to this forum where they were chatting about the video's and accused me of copying someone elses. its so frustrating as i of course didn't!! so its equally annoying from both angles...

I'm a part of that forum too, and the biggest reason, as you found out yourself, is if all videos were submitted first off, then shown after, sure they'll be very similar auditions and that's fine, but it's the paranoia of knowing someone has submitted after you, also when suddenly gets 480 viewings and 22 votes after only 3 days when people who've been there a fornight have had only 130 viewings, you wonder, have they ripped my take off and produced it a little nore to highlight certain areas of the character?
I try to remain positive on it though, I think I've made a positive comment on every video there, so far, I don't see the point in writing
"great job, I'm ****, you'll see me on page 7, pls vote for me too"
as some have, it's innocent in some cases but bloody funny to read all the same. Votes are important, but as it's already stated, it's down to the casting director and production team in the end.

And Drew? Yeah I probably wouold mate hehe, I know you're a mate, but you are a damned fine actor, easy to shoot too, Drew there's your mark, don't move and you don't and you hit your mark. You'd be surprised how many don't! I hope I've managed to capture your character properly bud!

You coming up with the budget, screenplay, lights, audio dubbing, recording studio studio(you know if it's me I'll need to do a theme (ps, you're welcome for yours btw!), location, stock and editting?

I've noticed that Drews audio and vidio sync are slightly out on the RPG site, could someone who knows more about these uploads let me know if it's the site conversion? I've noticed a few on there that have a similar problem, but with me having the original final edit, I know that it plays perfectly on my pc, so any ideas?

It may go against me, but I am all for protectin actors! There were some negative comments, not necessarily against me, but certainly to a few lesser experienced applicants which I thought jsut weren't called for, so I have asked RPG to delete them.
Reason I asked (this is such a stupid mistake I realise this) is there is one guy who was called "handicapped" in his scene, now I have a special needs daughter, and as it happens Johan isn't handicapped, he was portraying the role as if he'd been drugged, but I took a deep offense to it and said so on his thread, then I got some crap for it too (different name, but same kind of spelling so guessing same guy/girl)
So what I am asking. Is it right to ask a producer for some leniancy before I know who has the role?
I know, stupid stupid, should have kept myself to myself!!!

A lesson I learned a long time ago, Kenny, is to criticise your opponent with scant praise.
You could have said 'What an excellent efoort from someone so terribly afflicted. Maybe he should get a much better response from those who have no understanding of his drawbacks. It was after all an incredible attempt.'

Yeah Alan, I know you're right, but as you've noticed, I get really passionate about things. I should keep it for my performances only and not waste them on someone elses stupidity.
Yeah Steve? I think he has a great chance, Lowrinse is good, but I think Drew s character is more edgy and sure of himself!

yeah steve, i agree, a little stillness within would have helped, but i dont know if ken has said, we spent 4 hours+ filming, setting up great shots and getting some brilliant stuff, only to find find tape had stuffed up and recorded absolutly nothing, so we had to go back and re-shoot the lot, but with only about 25mins to do it, so thoroughout most of that 25mins i was absolutly furious ( which probably helped the characterisation lol.)
but it meant what we wanted did not get done. Although possibly it is better for it.

Hello Everyone,

I don't know if people are still commenting / reading this thread, but anyway-

I have loaded my rpg audition for Joanna today (after a week of technical issues- they eventually did it for me, i'm not very technical!)

would appreciate your, comments and votes.

I'm not sure how much rests on votes but its like the last week or two now so i guess we don't have to wait long to find out!

Finally got round to recording my audition for "Liliya" and have uploaded it but then realised it didn't say that Quick Time Movies were accepted. I can't get back onto the section of the site for submission to resubmit, having now managed to convert it to a WMV. Any ideas please? Also, has anyone else successfully uploaded as Quick Time?

If it does get accepted a show of support from fellow CCPers for a late addition would be most welcome as I am well behind in the race to the finish line!!

Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

"just say you clicked on the wrong movie file to send without realising"
They'll put it up for you :-)
Mine went up corrupt so I had to email mine in ;-(
But all is good now.

Thanks Kenny - I did just that!!Really appreciate your help although I believe I may be too late as I've been meaning to do this for ages but only just got round to it and have a feeling the deadline was yesterday.

Will go on the site tomorrow and vote for all the CCPers regardless. I think you mentioned they take some time to go live - is that still the case or have they improved that as time has gone on?
