I have been asked to audition for this tomorrow with one of the top CDswho is taking the new season. I wrote toher and chatted on the phone and she called my agent to ask me to come in. Any advice on these general interviews?
Well said Lee. Shooters then? And writing to established film co's doing Feature films or good quality shorts (see Contacts or is The Actors Handbook?) Some are emailable. IMDB Pro has mainly castings in the US!
I'm in the same dilemma. My drama school film showreel is dire and have a few pre-drama school & badly shot films! Ok, well it's something to work towards, I guess...
I must say, 'Shooting People' is a pretty good resource - cheap yearly membership, generally decent projects advertised, and very often, nominal fees paid (which is a huge bonus frankly, for low budget work).
This thread has deviated a long way from talking about Blake going to have a casting for The Bill though, hasn't it?
I dont care at all... its not all about me.... we can all learn from one anothers experiences, so I think its important...

well i was a paid member of Shooting people for a year and i didnt revew my subscription. i didnt find it useful for me. i didnt find ANY jobs on there that were A) near me or B) worth it.
coudl have just been luck of the draw though, it seemed that every bulletin was just full of people asking for houseshares and student films in london (which is a bit far for me to travel for a student film).
im still a member, i just dont pay for the bulletins.
maybe Blake will find it more useful that i did.
