To chase up or not to chase up?

So - I had a casting the other week for a fairly big TV part; I wasn't expecting it, so it was v. exciting. Went fairly well. They said they were seeing more people last week, then doing recalls. Not heard anything so I assume I'm not going any further. BUT - the filming dates would overlap with a small window of opportunity for my Stage Manager husband and I to be able to go away with our kids in the Summer. Do I ask my agent to chase up the TV job and get them to confirm they don't want me so I can organise my life or is that sounding too desperate and needy? Surely I'm a 42 yr old professional with a life and all I want to do is move on and get organised, so why do I feel so hesitant to chase this up? What would you do?

It's beautiful weather here in Thirsk, Sarah! But at least you are less than £90 away from your next audition! Which is what it costs me to come to London to audition for something they're filming in Thirsk!!
