I am going but sadly can't make it early enough for the seminars I was most interested in.

My instinct is the EXPO may be a bit of a disappointment unless you are going for the workshops but you never know. Plus you can usually stock up on free pens :)

shame they didn't do a north or midlands one that was easier for non-londoners to attend, i would enjoy it i think.

Here here.
With the cost of rail fares and/or petrol, I'm having to stop going for unpaid stuff and workshops in London. Hooray for the Northern Actors centre!! (even though Birmingham's quite a way too!)

Aye Aye! I agree, but I'm giving in to temptation and just going. Car sharing is helping me, but means I have to put up with arguements over what CD is on MY cd player... The things we do for our career!! lol

Although everyone and their dog will be telling us whatever they happen to be selling is guaranteed to propel us to instant fame & fortune I think it's a fantastic networking opportunity and anyone who's in London, or can afford to get here for the day, really needs to make the effort to attend! It's the first one and need our support to make it an annual event!

...and anyway...if it is crap, as a previous poster mentioned, you can never have enough free pens and keyrings!

See you guys there.

We met Remi a few months ago when the ActorExpo was just an idea she had. She wished there was something for actors, an annual trade fair and event... where all kinds of things could be brought under one roof.

Hats off to her for doing something about it. She has created something from nothing at huge personal investment and, in all likelihood, for no financial gain once all is tallied up. I know that if it's a success she would like to do an event in the North, but you can't start off with simultaneous events from Day One - let the girl get the first one under her belt!

And if Remi has managed it, then why not set up an event in the North, the Midlands, wherever you might be. It's down to people like Remi that things get done - she has demonstrated incredible commitment and passion in setting everything up, putting in huge amounts of legwork, meetings, pressures etc... and now, months on, she has created an event, a brand new, sparkling ActorExpo which I hope is a great success.
