    Hey guys,

I'm doing a showcase soon and need to find a modern duologue for boy/girl. The characters need to be early 20's and I'm really looking for something lighter and not too over dramatic or 'dead baby'. I've already spent a few hrs sitting in foyles so Any suggestions would be helpful.

    Cheers

    Hi,

To be honest with you, this subject has been covered so many times on here I suspect people are getting a little tired of people asking. Check the previous threads and see what advice is given. Otherwise, use your noodle and do some reading!

    Best of luck :)

    Read plays!

    Please!

    Read more plays!

Pop down to the Royal Court's book shop and see what they have. Although there's loads of plays like that.

I read SOOOO much it's not funny. In the last month I have read 9 plays 4 novels and 2 acting theory books. I have also read a psychology book and nietzsche's 'The birth of tragedy'... I was just asking if anyone could help narrow down the search since i spent 2 1/2 hrs in foyles on tues night and 3.5 hrs in the National bookshop tonight and I needed to have some ideas for tomorrow.

Theres a good scene in Swingers, but its film not theatre but still a good scene. Also try Closer, full of great duologues. x

I wasn't being horrible there, I was just saying that we discuss this subject all the time and it gets a bit tiresome, as the same stuff is always sugested!

Best of luck with finding a peice and hope the showcase goes well :)
