I am a touring comedian that finally got into the amazing world of VO. I wanted to drop a line ,say hello and ask some of the seasoned veterans here...what is the best way of getting work and what are some of the best types of readings also what to stay away from. Thank you in advance and hope everyone has a prosperous year !!

I've been told my whole life I'd be good at VO and I have been trying to break into this industry off and on for a number of years now. I've had a lot of life events pull me away and now I made the decision to take charge and to try and go for it and realize my dreams any advice on how to get my foot in the door will be appreciated!!

Don't count on making money in this business simply because someone once told you "you have a good voice!" Find & take a good acting class, Find & take a good audio production course, Find & enlist someone to produce several good "professional grade" demos for you, Listen to & steal from as many successful voice over talents as you can {stealing "to a point" is allowed in this game, PRACTICE - PRACTICE - PRACTICE, don't give up your day job, spend lots of money on room treatment, spend lots of money on top grade equipment, remember that- when you get hungry- pidgeons are easy to catch and fairly tasty if cooked properly, find & take several good small business and marketing courses, beware of facebook voice coaches who will take your money to teach you how to improve your voice & sell to clients - if they had a handel on it then they wouldn't have time to teach you, forget the idea that this is an 'EASY WAY' to make money - it's NOT, don't jump into a pay to play untile you've mastered all of the above, when you actually do get work GET PAID - GET PAID - GET PAID, stop reading this long winded post and start putting into practice all of the advice listed above! NEVER QUIT!!!
