Next Years Show

Dear all at CCP

I'm in a quandry.

I am working towards my own show at next years Edinburgh Festival but cannot decide what to do. Here are my options - feedback/personal opinions would be great.

*Eva Cassiy Tribute* (done very well this year by Australian girl, not confirmed if she is performing next year)
*Barbra Streisand* show (only Babs tunes - not as an impersonator I might add!)
*A show that covers all Divas! - Dolly Parton, Barbra, Eva, Linda Eder, Ella F, etc etc...

Once I've finally made up my mind, the work can commence.

Thanks in advance.

Hello!

I would say that to appeal to as broad an audience as possible you should put as many people's songs in as you can!

A theme running through the evening would be good then you have a marketing angle, but to concentrate purely on one performer means that you will loose a large number of bums on seats!

Just my penny's worth!!!

I would agree with Polly - a Diva Special with well known and loved songs so people will flock to see you. Good luck with it and let us know so we could come and see you. Hopefully, I'll make it next year - I haven't been for ages now.

I agree with the other two ladies, a variety of artistes would be better, how about more than just one of you performing - maybe to give you more scope?

Thanks for that - I was kind of thinking a more diverse group of artists may bring in a better crowd - there is definitely an opening in the niche for thistype of music as it appears to be Jazz and blues that get the best coverage in the Festival.

Thanks again and keep checking www.helenraw.com for updates to see how I'm getting on with it!

Cheers
