hi guys.

hope the weather is not getting everyone too down! anyways some of you might remember me putting up a post about 8 months ago asking if anyone wanted to put a play one. Well after my theatre companies sell out 2nd show of No Way Out - thanks to all those who gave me ideas of plays - we are heading up to Edinburgh. Woohoo. anyways we are looking for a decent fairly cheap printer to print our flyers does anyone know of a good company?

Remember if you are in Edinburgh please come and see No Way Out, the rocket venue. 2nd - 12th August. Maybe we could have a ccp get together up there?

Have a look at this link. They can print up to poster size...depends on your medium BUT you can ring them and ask.

Hey all... a couple of thoughts:

When printing for Edinburgh, it is probably easiest to get the bulk flyers etc done once you are there rather than cart a lot of heavy boxes around the country. (Though this obviously depends on whether you own a van anyway / want a lot of publicity in advance!)

Check out www.edfringe.com and the message boards for companies offering printing for the time. Theres a good few listed at the moment.., There's also the stock guides on marketing (e.g. how much to print etc)

Of course, it is always worth thinking about getting someone to sponsor your flyers, or splitting the front and back with another show to cut costs. Also, consider doing something other than an A5 bit of paper, as there's nothing more disheartening that scraping together the cash to pay for flyers that only litter the street!

I took a show to Edinburgh last year and we printed 8 page tabloid newspapers as flyers, and while not the cheapest (or quickest to put together!) they weren't as expensive as you'd think, and certainly brought in a fair number of punters...

PS...
If you are going to Edinburgh with a show, email me at robbie@castingcallpro.com. I'll be at The Fringe for the first week or so spreading CCP joy, and would love to see some of your work. We'll also be sorting out a get-together of some sort for CCPers so keep your ears to the ground!
