Am I getting old?

I went to the cinema last week to see "Harry Brown" - really enjoyed it but came out feeling it was too true to inner city life and felt a bit depressed that this was the new life we are all leading.
Went to the cinema this weekend to see "2012" - almost everyone died - and if we are to believe scientists this could well happen to us very soon.
Anyone know a good comedy I can see this weekend before I slit my wrists ??

Christine ... if you are in reading mode, may I suggest a book, that once read, will stay with you forever ....
To Kill a Mocking Bird.

That, Allan, is my favourite book of all time! The film is brilliant, too. one of the very best stage to screen adaptations. Did you also know, Christine, that when one is feeling a bit low about the state of the world or things in general, reading poetry is good- some doctors actually prescribe it for depression; it feeds the soul.

Peter ... look for an American author called Erskine Caldwell ... his southern tales are side splitting and his one-liners are pure gold.

Will do, thanks, Allan. And I meant page to screen- I seem to have stage on the brain, I must be in the right profession.

Toni Brooks
Actor

Yeah, and don't for heaven's sake read Thomas Hardy while downing half a bottle of vodka!
Another good book by Michael Crighton (mind you, all his books are good and another, posthumous one is coming out next month I believe) is Airframe. He's the only author I know who can make an investigation into a plane crash exciting and totally riveting.
