Hello all
I thought I would post to see if anyone would be interested in a networking social in Birmingham.
I am based in the Birmingham area and usually can't find time to get to the London networking events, so I thought I would test the water to see if there are others out there, perhaps closer to the midlands than London, that would fancy an social meet-up type thing.
So far I'm not setting any dates/times/venues (but thinking over the next month or so) as I am happy to organise that if there are enough people up for it.
So, if you are interested just leave a message so I can gauge how plausible it could be!

hay yeah this sounds great, sometimes an eveing in the week in london is too crazy to get to and back from.
Birmingham is a fantastic place in the centre of the uk.
I hope to make it and maybe bring some non sjp memebers with me.

how are we all going to know who is in the green room for the meeting. maybe we should have a big neon sign saying SJP SOCIALITES THIS WAY :) i dont want to walk over to a bunch of people having an afternoon drink

This is something I think I asked SJP. I think I requested a flag and standard bearer...but...hmmmm...its a bit like a giant blind date!!! I'll ask SJP again, and see how they normally do it!
maybe we could just call up the green room and have them reserve a section for us so that we have a designated place to go and socialise, maybe they can mock up a sign that says SJP meeting reserved from 4pm.

yeah but I am hopeless at recognising people. I struggle with people I see everyday! In fact I met a member of crew the other day and took ages to remember who they were cos they weren't in black!
