Boring threads.

Seeing as how it's quiet, I think I will add another boring thread to darken the day, so to speak.
I have a cat !! .. not you Soggy Mog, one that my wife took pity on whilst in Spain ... so we brought it back. It is a Siamese, complete with blue eyes, and that unbelievably arrogant attitude.
The blue eyes have faded with age, but the arrogance seems to have increased.
We fixed him up with a litter tray, to find that he had been curiously watching me all the time: with a look on his face that said 'What's wrong with the carpet' !!!!.
He actually runs our household. He goes to the cupboard where his food is kept, and actually opens the damn door. My wife bought him some sliced roast beef, and now he's trying to open the frig door for crying out loud !!! He'll be wanting the car next !!!.

In past millennia and in certain societies, cats were deified .. especially in Egypt where, some were that well thought of, they were mummified along with their owner.
Now .. I have obviously heard of the variety of cats from Manx, Siamese, Persian etc. etc. but ... I have never heard of a breed called Egyptian !!! they weren't ALL mummified surely ??.

Yeah they used to asked me at school 'Amber stop Flashing...' and I wasn't even taking my clothes off ;O)

Allan, I believe but I could be wrong that the main cats of the Egypt area are Abyssinians and were most probably the type of cat that was mummified.

OMG AMber, they are SO cute. Oh dear, our last cat had to be put to sleep as she had a brain tumour and at the end she was so ill it was unkind to let her go on (she has been immortalised in a short zombie film as she did look a bit zombiefied) and I swore that I'd never have another one until I was really old and practically housebound but seeing these two - ooops, maybe...
