CCP Monologue Competition

I'm getting a lot of views but no votes sadly :(

It's a funny old system - not that I'm knocking it...

I guess there's a fear that some people might round up their mates and crowd-vote (if there is such a term). I suppose at least this way, you're being voted by your peers.

I've noticed that the streaming can be slow which might turn some people off. In order to view a monologue, I find myself pressing play and then pause less than a second afterwards so that the buffering can catch up. Maybe it's my internet connection - but I doubt it.

Hi Joe and K.C. Oops! did not realise there was a monologue competition here on CCP. Ah the wonderment of advancing years ! Did a monologue two or three years ago. I entered yesterday but can't find my monologue amongst the other entries. Although it is listed on my profile page now. Maybe I have to wait until Monday for it to be officially approved for the competition. How long did you guys wait?

I uploaded mine late one evening and received an email the following morning telling me it had been added. I'm guessing between 10 to 12 hours for it to become live.

I'm having trouble uploading mine. My phone has mushed the Categorys together so I can't enter. Any suggestions on how to recterfy this?

Sorry you're having techno-issues. Can you get to a laptop? You have until 16th Sep.

Other than that, can you send a vimeo/youtube link to CCP and they might do it for you?

Just noticed that despite the competition info stating: 'Your monologue should be no more than 2 minutes long', the current top two actor's choice monologues are both over 2 minutes long.
Will this affect the decision?

I've noticed that too. Also that the instructions were to get a friend with a steady hand to record you on a tablet/phone/computer etc. Some people have opted for editing-in different camera angles with music and included some voiced-over shots that they don't appear in?

I guess the Judges will have the final word.

The filming of the monologue appears to be more of a guidline
(mine has music too but I wrote it as well as writing and filming the monologue)
whereas the length appears to be more of a rule, as it's in bold black font along with the 'Only 1 entry per member permitted' and deadline of '25th September 2016'.
We shall see...

Hi, can someone tell me how I find the link to my monologue? I submitted it to the competition and got an email that said it had been successfully uploaded and entered but I can't find it in entries? I want to be able to send it to my friends who have CCP :)

If you click on the monologue competition link at the top of the CCP home page, at the bottom it should say 'you've already entered' and give you a link to your video to share.
Click that and it should take you to your video.
