Hi guys I’m currently an acting student with experience in the performing industry, I’ve decided to signup to equity for the first time. They have had the payment but sent me an email saying the name I wanted to use was already in use and had to email them back with different names.
I was just wondering if anyone else had encountered this and if so how long do you think it would take for them to get back to me?

Hi Ben. I changed my name after checking there were no other people registered as Toni Brooks. It took very little time as I recall. Have you contacted them with a new name?

Okay that makes sense, maybe it’s because their running it through their systems and it could take a while.
I had an email off them the day after applying saying my name I picked was in use and I needed to email them new names, so I sent them an email back, I was confused how long this would take them as they never clarified how long it would take.
