Hugh's Stalkathon

    Hi everyone;

In an effort to find an agent (AGAIN!), I've begun a systematic marathon trawl through CCP checking out agents and their clients (seeing who's been working regularly/recently etc).

The only reason I'm telling you all this, Inspector, is because, for some strange reason, whenever I check out someone's CCP profile - and they then inevitably check out mine in return - I always feel unaccountably guilty/voyeuristic. Does anybody else get this same feeling? (Please SOMEONE say yes...).

Anyway, should your profile get a visit or multiple visits from me over the next few weeks, don't worry. I'm not stalking you - even though I am.

    Best Wishes

    Hugh

PS I would also like to contact some of you privately, as I have -gasp- been approached recently by a couple of agents, and such questions I have about them - for those of you who are represented by them and who use the green room regularly - I feel uncomfortable about asking in a public forum. Hope this is okay.

Anyway, enough of my paranoid bleatings.

    H.

yeah I know what you mean, I tend to wonder why people look at my profile but then realise it was because i looked at their's a few days ago, and then feel guilty for looking at them, but it's just out of curiousity honest! I think it's healthy to check out who else is out there anyway, you never know one day you might work with a fellow CCP user and we are all in the same boat and share the same passion.

You are a funny lot. I check out other peoples profiles all the time. It can be a good source of research for checking out theatre companies, agents etc especially in your local area. After the christmas social I have met far more people on here which I keep on my favorites. CCP can be a good ice-breaker as well as I have bumped into a fair few people from this website at auditions and have worked with a fair few as well.

I agree maybe it's because I'm relatively new to CCP that it seems strange to me, but your right it is a great resource.

No guilt here, I'm a voyeur ;-) Seriously, browsing profiles helps gathering info on what we could do better in our own - it's all good!

...know how you feel! To begin with I was looking at everybody's profile, then I realised this was getting logged on to their profiles...then I thought "poop, they're gonna think I'm stalking them!" So I stopped for a while, but I agree with everyone elses' comments...it's really nice/useful to see other peoples' stuff, photies etc and see how busy they've been.

    Regards

    Angie

Its interesting to see what people have done and also if they look at my Profile I am interested to see who they are and what they have done. Also I have been to a couple of auditions where I have recognised people from the site, or I have been to auditions and I want to check out the competition and what they have doen :P

I think that it is just fan-dabby-dozey that we can view each other pictures and details. It helps create a community of stalkers, all peering and prying, rubbing their thighs and raising their eyebrows, as we all watch as the web-page refreshes and reveals to us yet another unknown victim...

(Gooseman has just freaked himself right the [email protected]#k out! He slaps his face, quickly does a thousand one-feathered press-ups and regains some sense of decorum and control)

Seriously though, it is very useful being able to check people out. It certainly helps me feel part of a community of like-minded individuals, I can check out great headshots for new photographers, see if people have worked with various directors etc before, and also see if an agents client has been getting the kind of work that I would like to get. Plus some of the ladies are really hot, such as the beautiful Becs here. (added bonus really)

I will always see who has been checking me out and most people that I have checked out tend to do the same. Curiosity is a powerful thing. (and so the Gooseman once again flies away, his wings flapping intensely as a small eddie catches his feathered self and threatens to spiral him out of control...)

    All the best to all

*blushes* ah shucks gooseman ........ If only we could all stalk you !! maybe I have done... alas I shall never be privvy to such knowledge! ;P

I know what you mean though its always a nice bonus to see some top totty gracing my otherwise drab computer screen !

Top Totty brightens the darkest work day, tis true dearest Becs. (i only wonder whether, when the gooseman graced your screen, he was greeted with the top totty tag...?if he had only ruffled and primed his feathers)

but it is fascinating to be able to see everyone. It's very up front and honest (says a man who covers himself in goose feathers and dons a beak in order to hide his true and shocking identity) - it is very up front and honest because everyone is out there saying this is me, this is what i have done, what i will do and I really want to do it. (in order to either be knocked down or move forward first one must stand up) It brings an emotional tear to the eye...

Goose I know exactly how it feels to realise that you're not mad or stupid. I just don't know how it feels for myself. Hijacking threads is an art, and when well done can prove highly creative. And we're in the business of being creative, so that's all good. I think.
