I can’t see you viewed me
I can’t see you viewed me, it’s not on the network list anymore, is people having the same problem?
Yes - many thanks, Ingrid for that excellent discovery - and absolutely, Toni - as this has been one of the major points raised during this lengthy forum discussion, why on earth didn't they tell us!!!??? Left hand/right hand???
But, when you scroll down the actual application, the date is not the same as that shown if you just look at the date on 'recently viewed' and 'recently viewed' doesn't show if you're under consideration which it used to do. You still have to scroll down on your original application to see that. It used to be up-front. It's still not user friendly to to actor.
You're so right. It's not perfect but better than nothing
Better than nothing isn't really acceptable though when people are paying for a service. A bus that stops before the destination advertised isn't better than nothing - you'd use an alternative service.
Apologies I was only trying to help
Any updates on this subject ? Thank you x
Hi Paul, I didn't mean to be sharp, sorry. I'm cross with Mandy. x
Hi, Toni! Where is the 'recently viewed' info which you mentioned in a recent ost? Thanks.
Hi Terry, go to My Applications in the drop down Jobs menu, click on any of the jobs you've applied for and scroll right down to the bottom of that page - you'll see if you've been viewed and also if you're under consideration. One of mine says: Application Status Under consideration. Others say: viewed and the date viewed.
Hope that helps
Aaaah! Thanks, Toni! I had found that facility recently (following recent posts in this forum). As you had said in a previous post 'when you scroll down the actual application, the date is not the same as that shown if you just look at the date on 'recently viewed' and 'recently viewed' doesn't show if you're under consideration which it used to do.' I thought that 'recently viewed' was something different. Thanks again for your presence in this forum.
The above few posts prove that the site is not actor-friendly. As if we want to go on a mission to see if our applications have been viewed or are being considered! It should be simple and clear.
For those hoping for a fairer alternative to Mandy. Recommended by someone on another thread and I've just joined - castingcallback.com. Launching properly in 2023. At this point they seem to actually care about actors.
Thanks Rebecca. I started filling in the form but they want the name of your school and the name and email of your tutor. Without this information, you can't move on. I graduated years ago from two different unis (BA (Hons) and PGCE) and, as I said in my email to castingcallback, my tutors will either be dead or retired. I'll let people know how they respond but it seems as if the site is geared to quite new actors.
Thank you for that Rebecca - hopefully it will be a better alternative to Mandy. Fingers crossed!
You don't need the name and email of a tutor, that's not a starred compulsory field. I didn't fill it in. I just put name of Postgrad drama school, course name and year of graduation and then went back and did the same for my University BA once my profile was set up and editable.. My stuff is all early 90s with multiple staff so similarly I wouldn't have that info.
It wouldn't let me go any further and there wasn't the option to now put those two details, but I got an immediate response (how refreshing is that?) from someone called Phil who was going to look into it for me. So far, really impressed that they responded so quickly.
Just got an email from Phil, totally my fault. I had put n/a in the two boxes re tutor and email, thinking I had to fill them in but was told I didn't need to do that, I only needed to fill the boxes with a red *.
I really think this site is going to be very good. I have to go out now but will fill in the rest of the form later. Thanks again Rebecca.
You're welcome - glad it's all sorted and let's hope this site does what it promises!! It is indeed a good sign that you got such a fast response.
I joined Mandy back in the day when it was CCP and the job offers were pretty good. Can anyone remember how annoying the playing age was. I haven't paid the membership for a few years and decided to join again 3 weeks ago. On the plus side I applied for a job and got an offer but that's just it. The things that you guys have been mentioning in this long thread are the things that made mandy great and it's a real shame that they don't seem to care. We need more choices.
Im new to Mandy network. Im not sure how it works.
